The Bridal Fair

In celebration of General Santos City’s 72nd Foundation anniversary, the Local Government cooked up some events to commemorate the city’s rich cultural tradition and heritage. Dubbed as Kalilangan, this year’s theme gave focus on the cultural diversity of the City.

One of the many events that were lined up was “Weddings Across Soccsksargen.” This is a wedding and tourism fair promoting the wedding industries of South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and General Santos. The bridal festival is an annual event spearheaded by Kasal.com.

I wasn’t actually aware of the event not until a friend from Manila who came for a visit sent me SMS asking me to see her at the bridal fair. I was at work at the time. I told her I can’t make it. She informed me of the Bridal fair that’s taking place and that they are giving out some wedding freebies like magazines, cds,etc. That certainly piqued my interest. So after work, I went off to see what she was talking about. I asked Star to come along with me.

The registrant must be a bride/ groom-to-be to avail of the wedding freebies. I didn’t hesitate in filling up the form. Star did that as well, LOL! The raffling of the grand prize will give the lucky couple a chance for a trip to Boracay. I wasn’t actually aspiring for that. All I wanted to get hold was the freebies, hehe.

I got a copy of the magazine by simply registering myself.

I wasn’t lucky enough to be included in the raffling off of the grand prize the next day. Surprisingly, Star was there and was able to avail of some more freebies.
