When I signed up for Entrecard a couple of months back, the category I chose for this blog is Personal Diary. It really is a personal journal of my life’s daily experiences, random rants and ramblings, etc. But as I was learning my way through EC, I tried to play around with the categories and thought of switching to the Romance category.
I got a little surprised because after a month of seriously dropping cards, I would usually come out in the Top 1 or Top 2 in that particular category.
May it be known that I didn’t asked for that.
It was my addiction to dropping cards that placed me there.
Today, I got an alert from the Entrecard team telling me to move my site into a more appropriate category. Yeah, I know my posts has nothing to do with romance. This blog truly belongs to the personal diary niche and I had moved it back there. I hope I am not giving them any reason to complain again now. At the Personal Diary niche, I was relegated to No. 3 after topping in Romance category.
That’s fine by me.
I am well aware that out of 52 categories, each of the more than 15, 000 Entrecarders have chosen their own respective niches. But do you believe each one of the members truly belong in their chosen categories? I have seen numerous blogs who were not. For an instance is a blog belonging in the art category but the posts have absolutely nothing to do with art and many other inconsistencies in the selection of categories.
I believe I am not alone. I wonder if they have been sent an email, too.
Anyway, I am making this post to make you aware that we should live up to our own chosen category. It’s one good move for the Entrecard team to take notice. What about the rest though? hehe!

I don’t know if I am using the right category too(Parenting and Family) as there are times that I blog for myself whoaaaaaa…
By the way,I noticed that your page takes time to load.Is it just me or? hehe

Well,I think the problem is that a blog is a personal thing (most of them) and so it depends on you which category you think fits your blog best. And if you think it’s romantic everybody has to accept that.
As I don’t have a certain topic, but don’t write about personal things only either I choose “mixed bag”

Yeah, you’re right dear. Not everyone just can’t accept that this blog belongs to the romance category. They kicked my ass off, hahaha! They must be very happy to let go of me, hehe!
I chose the personal diary category for this blog as my Lainy’s Musings already belongs in the Mixed Bag niche.

I started out in Personal Diary and moved to Mixed Bag and it helped my blog doing this. I also have a blog in Photography and in Travel.
This is the first time that I’ve heard of Entrecard contacting a member and asking them to change their category.

Yes Ma’am, it’s my first time, too. No problem with me as long as the Entrecard Team contacts every member who did the same thing with me, blog not belonging to chosen category, and call their attention as well.
But it’s ok.
I have blogs in Music and Mixed Bag as well. My blog did great at the Romance category because I worked hard for it. I’m sure some people are happy to take the place I’ve vacated from there, hehe!

At times, it is very difficult to choose, and at times we just want to play around with the categories. At times, when i just get mixed up, i just want to place a blog in the mixed bag category. Categorizations has never been easy. Maybe Entrecard should be checking each blog as they did with yours.
I find it funny that a change is applied just to one person.
…and maybe, someone is happy you are out from somewhere
…that reminds him/her that you are just too great for him/her to handle.
I will bet $100 that it is a “her”

Anyway, I hate to cast a stone to anyone. I am doing my task of reciprocating to every cards dropped on me and if I get to the top, it’s because I probably deserved it, that’s saying without bragging Uncle Che, you know me, hehe!
Taking time out to return every drops is not an easy task! Ask everyone around!
As to the categorizations, I’m afraid I was the ONLY one who’s attention was called for this.
What a pity!
I hope someone out there would be up for the challenge. I want you a hundred bucks richer, hehe!

You deserve jud na naa ka sa top..kay gihaguan man sad diba.. pabay-i nalang na cia.. basta kay sikat gihapon ka bisag unsaon pa nila kabira pababa nimo. About the tips, don’t mention it. What are friends are for? Just make sure you follow the simple tips and in no time you will be in the top 100 and even closer to the top.
