32 Months and Counting!

Wednesday’s What It’s All About-
(You Gotta Know) #3

Today is another milestone for me and my Prince. Thirty two months ago, I consented to be a girlfriend to the man whom I love dearly. Though circumstances were entirely difficult because of the things that we had to hurdle, we vowed to make this relationship work until the time that we can be physically together.

My Guapo Prince made my day when he sent me a terse but very meaningful email:

Being into a relationship that is separated by distance is never a walk in the park. It’s like death in slow motion. The agony of waiting and the agony of being far from each other’s arms is making it all the more difficult. But my Prince and I are both aware that it will all be worth the wait. We all have our own time and God’s time is perfect.

We have been praying for patience. We both believe that patience is a virtue and it requires a lot of waiting… We both often remind each other: “The greater the sacrifice, the sweeter the prize!”

My life has been blessed with so much when my Prince came into my life. I feel grateful to the Father when My Prince Scotty allowed me to feel the warmth of his love across the great distance that separates us. For 32 months, our love for each other never wavered nor faltered at all. I thank my Sayang for being always there for me, for putting up with all my flaws and imperfections, for taking me through the hardest times. Despite the time that distance brings, or life’s little quirks and all other things, I know we have nothing to fear, because we have a Living God who has always been there since Day 1 and He will continue to watch our backs as long as we both entrust everything to Him.

i always admire people who are in long distance relationship and are able to make it to the end. i have been a product of one, for more than 3 years and that's long enough to have tried me. hahaha. anyway, i survived, and soon, i'll be tried again, pero ok na ngayon, di masyadong mahirap.

how's this year going for the both of you sis? tuloy ba ang pagkikita? hehe.. i hope so. like ally, i wish for both of you to meet each other in flesh na and set up the great day! ;-) hope you both have many years to come pa. it'll be worth it that's for sure!

@Recel,

Sis! Thanks so much! Yes, I am aware how you and hubby were able to surpass the separation you’ve had in the past. I am sure you’ll survive whatever hindrances that will come along.

The meet up is supposed to take place after my birthday, Sis. He’ll stay for two weeks. But since work is hectic and I can never enjoy the time I will be spending with him until elections is over, we both decided that it’s best if he come after the May 10 elections. He even told me that a few months of waiting wouldn’t be so much of a burden.

We have a whole lifetime ahead of us, it’s one thing that we both are looking forward to.

Thanks for coming by today and sharing your thoughts, Sis. It’s the mid-week. may you enjoy what’s left of it :)

I've just arrived after a 5 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Just in time to comment before 12 midnite Wednesday and burnt lots of rubber to be in time. hahaha.

All the best to you and your Guapo!

oh i see. i've thought of how busy you are since the 2010 event is at it's peak. that's good that there are options you've made to make the time you'll spend with each other really worth it. whenever it's going to be, i'm sure it's in God's perfect time. know that i always wish you well sis! ;-)

Oh, that's so sweet… :)
You're right about long-distance relationships. It's never a walk in the park. Both people have to be strong to endure it. Plus there's always the temptation. We're so happy that the both of you are able to go through this, and may you guys have 32 or more months together. ;)
