Today is Manny Pacquiao’s birthday. All of the hotels here in General Santos City has been fully booked for today’s occasion. Some of the country’s famous politicians, celebrities and top personalities from the boxing world are expected to grace Pacquiao’s birthday. Topping everyone in the list of invited guests is the Honorable Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The grand birthday celebration shall take place at KCC Mall Convention Center where a lavish concept of Las Vegas shall take center stage- a boxing ring complete with slot machines and poker tables.
I have seen the preparation today when I went out to complain my internet connection at the SmartBro Center KCC Mall. I was caught in awe! People actually flocked at the third floor’s parking lot waiting for the VIP’s to arrive. More or less 2, 000 invited guests are expected to be present in the gala night.
Meanwhile, a separate celebration is intended for the constituents of General Santos City. A total of 6, 000 packed meals shall be distributed at the Oval Plaza. Invited guest showbiz personalities shall perform much to the delight of the general public. Incidentally, KUERDAS is one of the performers for this event.
