It’s officially my 7th night right here in my new home!
YAY! I survived it, hahaha! Honestly speaking, I thought I’d feel so bored over the weekend but heck! Again, there’s not much time in my hands to accomplish everything I want to accomplish.
SATURDAY
I woke up very early on Saturday to do my laundry. I proved my cousin Allena wrong, LOL! She doubted that I can do my laundry, hahaha! I can only pray for consistency though
But before accomplishing the major task for the day, I took my favorite cereals for breakfast. I got so hooked with it that I can’t get enough. I find it rare for a cereal to be so yummy like that. My taste buds simply fell in love with it
We actually have work every Saturdays. I didn’t plan of not showing up at work on Saturday but my brother arrived to help me out in arranging the working room. He also carried upstairs the desktop table. I had to prepare food for him and myself. I only thought of cooking veggies (Law-oy ba, haha!). But since he’s rather picky with food and doesn’t eat veggies, my only alternative was to let him eat hotdog and chorizo. I just know he’d love that. He’s carnivorous, LOL!
After doing some work at home, I had to get myself ready for my online training for two-hours. My trainor decided we do training on Saturday to make up for the Friday that we’ve missed. And so another tedious training took place. I had to get back cleaning up the pad after that. I did the vacuuming upstairs and downstairs. I had to take a nap after all the hard work because the head was spinning and felt rather heavy. That was just too much for me to handle.
SUNDAY
I had to be early for church today. It’s actually every Sundays. I realize one problem here in my new home that I need to resolve by sleeping over my Mom’s house every Saturdays. As I’ve mentioned at Lainy’s Musings, the private subdivision where I now live has close-in security. Gate closes at 10pm and I’ve learned only last night that it opens at 6am. I had to be out of the house at 4:30am. If I do reroute, I’d be very late for church. I need to be there at 5am. My brother also thinks that I can’t risk being robbed, raped or even killed by walking by myself in the wee hours of the morning. I could only wish I own a car! Sigh!
This morning, the solution I’ve thought of was to hire a taxi. There’s so much trouble in the set-up though because the driver himself had to do the rerouting, LOL! And worse, he overcharged me (not again!). The taxi meter started when he came to fetch me, not when I came in his taxi. It’s quite a surprise that not a single word of complaint was heard from me. I guess I was too tired to even rant. I only uttered this statement in silence:
May God bless you more for cheating like that, grrrrrr!
By the way, it’s been raining cats and dogs here since yesterday. It was another wet day today while I was on my way home from church.
I’ve spent the entire day at home after church. I did stuffs around the house and took my nap for hours. I badly needed that. I feel I’ve accomplished a lot for the two days that I’ve spent here in my pad. Again, I’ve cooked for myself, hahaha! I need to get used to my own cooking
I was also able to do all the writing tasks that’s pending in my dashboard a week before its due date. Quite a miracle, huh?! I used to procrastinate a lot. Sometimes, it’s out of habit but more often than not, I just can’t find the time to do so much. My powers became very limited as I aged, hahaha! Quite alarming but true
I need to slow down at times especially when I tend to do so many things in my hands. I can’t sacrifice my precious health yet again. No more stress for me (I hope!). For a week now, I was all by myself and I am loving it!

I admire you for going to the church… I feel guilty that I don’t go the church as often as I did back then. I agree, let stress not be a part of your life, nakakatanda!
I love your cereal bowl! Thanks for linking up to Weekend Eating.

So pleased, Lainy dear that you are settling in. When you have the chores to do all by yourself there is much more to do – so don’t over do it. Take your time and sort out a good routine so that you don’t wear yourself out – after all you need to have energy to enjoy yourself!! (Most important!!)
I am very curious, why do you need to go to church in the middle of the night? Most churches over here have morning worship at 10.30 am – I think all of the priests and vicars would be mortified if they had to give services in the middle of the night. The only time I can recall a late night service is Christmas Eve when there is Midnight Mass. Take care, my friend, even God would want us all to get a full night’s sleep on his day of rest, I think.
I look forward to reading more of your new adventures in your very own place. May you have lots of good fortune, happinness and good health in your new home.
x

@POLLY,
Hi Polly. I’ve missed you. Thanks for the private message you’ve sent me. I truly appreciate the warmth of your friendship all through these years.
You said it. Chores are never-ending, sigh! But I am getting used to it. I just have to manage my time very well and set my priorities. I shall take heed of the wonderful tips you’ve just shared.
Hmmm. It’s not in the middle of the night, Polly. Worship service is at 6am. I am a church officer and I must be at Church an hour before the time of worship begins. We do also have noon, afternoon and night time worships. But I’ve opted for the morning because of my toxic schedule at work before where I do work even on weekends. My available time is only in the morning.
I shall try to regularly update you on everything, Polly. If not here at the blog, I shall keep you posted via your mailbox, just like the old times
Love and hugs from me to you!
