It has been almost a year when my long-time friend Jacky accommodated us in their simple abode en route to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and after our return. Jacky and her husband Alvin took great pains to ensure we experienced the best of everything during our short stay in Manila.

With Jacky at La Mesa Ecopark

With Jacky and the group smiling for the cam. What a great picnic Jacky and Alvin prepared for us!
It was truly the best of arrangements that strangers in Metro Manila could have. I and my friends felt we were indeed VIPs, LOL! I actually wrote elaborately about it at The Renowned Filipino Hospitality At Its Best.
It isn’t everyday that we get to meet people who can be so kindhearted and generous. Though Jacky and I had been separated by distance for quite a number of years, it was never a barrier for us to nourish the friendship that has been evergreen.

Those were the days, when we were young and slim, LOL!
Furthermore, it has taken deeper roots more than ever because Jacky’s mother is a Principal Sponsor to my own mother’s wedding thirty two years (32) ago. Jacky and I basically knew each other since we were young girls. Though we never had been the best of friends, there has always been a strong mutual bond between us. There’s that special connection that only good and real friends can comprehend.
The group that went to Malaysia last year will always be indebted to Jacky and her husband Alvin for having such great hearts. They never had second thoughts in offering us their home for a place to stay and they made sure we were well taken cared of.
I was very happy Jacky, her son, Thirdy and her Mom made it to my brother’s wedding.

Posing for posterity sake
They are here for a short vacation and she will be back in Manila soon. We won’t let her leave GenSan without giving her a good treat. I shall reserve that for another post though

LOL! Thanks Sis. I was super thin in the past. I even have a problem gaining weight. Now the problem was reversed, LOL!
Indeed, I am very blessed to have friends like Jack. I can only treasure the gem that I have and count my blessings every single day

It is nice to have great friends around, although we didn’t see them very often, the bond is still strong.

Sinabi mo pa, Anne! Real friends are hard to find so when we get lucky to find them, we really have to treasure them for keeps.
Thanks for the constant visits and comments.
Hugs!
