It was about three days ago when I woke up in the wee hours of the morning, sweating all over. I was catching my breath. I found myself weeping my heart out.
I had to pinch myself to be sure that I am for real- alive and kicking.
You see, I had a bad dream. In my dream, someone was after me and he fired at me till there’s no more breath left. He even threw a bomb to make sure that I’m dead. It gives me goosebumps everytime I think about what a bad dream it was.
Someone was laughing out when I tearfully relayed it to him. He advised me to go to the police station and have it reported- that I died in my dream, LOL! I hate you, Windy!
When I mentioned it to my subordinates at work, they said that there might be someone that secretly bears grudges against me, to the point that he/ she wants me dead.
I tried to search online for the meaning of my dream. Here it goes:
To dream that you die in your dream symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Although such a dream may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm as it is often considered a positive symbol. Dreams of experiencing your own death usually means that big changes are ahead for you. You are moving on to new beginnings and leaving the past behind. These changes does not necessarily imply a negative turn of events. Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways and habits. So, dying does not always mean a physical death, but an ending of something.
On a negative note, to dream that you die may represent involvement in deeply painful relationships or unhealthy, destructive behaviors. You may feeling depressed or feel strangled by a situation or person in your waking life. Perhaps your mind is preoccupied with someone who is terminally ill or dying. Alternatively, you may be trying to get out of some obligation, responsibility or other situation. You are desperately trying to escape from the demands of your daily life.
The above explanation made some sense!
But I still believe that God has the sole power to control my life. When it’s my time to go, it’s His will and I just have to accept that He has better and greater purpose for me.
My dream also reminded me of its meaning in one of the meetings I’ve attended at work:
Deliverance
Eternity
Acceptance
Temporal
Homebound
Sometimes death is being misunderstood. We don’t have to be deceived and feel anxious about it. We all will face death one day but how prepared we are to face it when it’s our turn is the big question.
What about you? Are you ready to face your own death?

I’ve had a lot of bad dreams/nightmares too. There was one time when I jerked up from the bed screaming. A lot of times, I woke myself up crying from a very sad dream.
I read a quote that says something like this: Dreams are important or else the eight hours you spend sleeping are going to waste
For me, dreams – no matter how bad they can be – are just dreams. What is important is that you woke up from them, and know that God is in control

I am a dreamy lady..every night I dreamed. Dreaming something that made me horrible is one way to be aware of myself. Some dreamed has its own meaning that would affect in our daily life. Some dream can kill us if we can’t wake up because of that awful event comes in our dreams..that’s why you are lucky you are still alive when you wake up madam..hehehehe…joke… and sometimes, i cant recall my dreams if i woke up..meaning..i am going to my old age now.
Anyways, madam, that’s only a dream. God is powerful than our dreams, if I had a bad dream, I pray for God assistance. God is more powerful than our dreams. I trust it everything to the Lord.
