In the 2007 local and national elections, Hon. Darlene Antonino-Custodio and Manny Pacquiao battled for the tightly-contested seat in the Congress for the first district of South Cotabato. The lady congresswoman eventually won the people’s confidence.
Putting politics aside,
the Congresswoman in collaboration with the Office of the City Mayor of General Santos, initiated the free live airing of the Lethal Combination fight of Manny Pacquiao and David Diaz at the city’s Lagao Gymnasium tomorrow. The airconditioned gym has also been the venue of PBA on-the road games. It has become a tradition here in GenSan that the city’s constituent’s have free and live access of our kababayan’s fight.Well, it’s nice to know that political nemesis become friends with Pacquiao’s fight and
atrocities are forgotten even just for a few hours while his fight is being aired.Pacquiao’s Trainer on the other hand, Freedie Roach, is confident that Pacquiao would win the title via a knock-out decision in Round 9. This prediction remains to be seen.
